Honeymoons are different for every couple. Some like to lay back and relax while others chase adventure and your honeymoon says everything about who you are as a couple. We all have plans about what we expect out of our honeymoon but, before you start printing off your itinerary, why not think about the sort of things you want to experience during your honeymoon rather than the thing you want to do:
Experience the risk-taker in both of you
A bit of adrenalin is good for the heart and can bring a couple closer together. Of course, we’re not suggesting that you go crocodile wrestling (unless you’re professional crocodile wrestlers, in which case, go ahead) but doing something a little bit risky can bring out the best in both of you. For different couples, risky means something completely different so the main idea is to take a small step out of your comfort zones. Perhaps skinny dipping in the ocean, or going on a ride in a hot air balloon. Sometimes fear makes us laugh out loud and being supported by the person you love can be a great motivation to do something you wouldn’t normally do. Plus, a new experience will make your honeymoon all the more memorable.
Experience the fun loving sides of each other
Who doesn’t like fun? Being able to laugh with your partner is one of the greatest things you can get from a marriage. Maybe you have a similar sense of humour or make each other laugh just because. During your honeymoon the greatest way to spend your time is to laugh. You should know best what makes your partner laugh, so don’t hesitate to take advantage of that knowledge. But, fun isn’t just about laughter. It’s about doing things that make you both excited. Perhaps you and your partner could play some games together. If you’re interested in card games and like to get a little competitive, you could look at the best casinos and play some poker together. Depending on who you are as a couple, fun could mean anything from hiking to watching a movie. So, use your honeymoon to discover new ways of making your partner smile.
Experience an evening together
Quiet, romantic moments can become precious memories quickly. If you’re the type of person that tends to get restless then you might have tried to cram as much activity as possible into each day. On the one hand, you’ll be making the most of your honeymoon location. But, on the other hand, you won’t be making the most of your partner’s free time. A honeymoon is an opportunity to spend some time alone with your partner while you can. So, for one day during your honeymoon, it might be a good idea to end your day plans early and spend some time alone with your partner. You could always wake up early the next morning to finish your sightseeing, while a sunset with your partner is too special to leave until later.
